Vision 2030 Overview

Zimbabwe's comprehensive roadmap to becoming an upper middle-income economy by 2030, focused on inclusive growth, innovation, and resilience.

The vision is built on four pillars: (1) Inclusive economic growth through diversification and job creation (target: 2M new jobs by 2030); (2) Modern infrastructure development, including $10B+ investments in energy and transport; (3) Good governance, with anti-corruption reforms and digital services; (4) Environmental sustainability, aligning with climate goals and AfCFTA for regional trade.

It draws from global benchmarks like the SDGs, aiming for 8% GDP growth and poverty below 20%.

Cabinet approved the NDS2 roadmap in September 2024. The 2026 National Budget will mark the first implementation year, building on NDS1's strong foundation of macroeconomic stabilization, infrastructure rehabilitation, and the structured ZiG currency system.

Infrastructure Investment Programme 2025

Consolidates achievements and provides foundation for NDS2 projects including Lake Gwayi-Tshangani (50% complete) and DISCO Steel Plant ($1.5B investment)
